The Comptroller’s Office Co-operative Bank is a Salary earner co-operative Bank registered under Co-Operative Act.  It is a bank of LIC  employees and membership is given to Employees and Retired Employees of LIC within the State of Karnataka. The Bank is popularly known as COCB. The Bank started as a credit co-operative society in 1916.  It was started by the then employees of Government of Mysore.  Later Comptroller’s office and Insurance Office employees became its members.  The society later converted as Bank and got its banking license in 1967. After nationalization of Insurance companies, mainly LIC employees were its members.  The bank has its head office in Bangalore and has one branch in Mysore which was opened in 2001.  The Board of Management comprises of 13 elected Directors who are employees of LIC.  At present, the Bank has 20 dedicated and young staff and is led by its first female CEO.

The Bank celebrated its centenary in the year 2016.  Many programs like Seminar, Member’s meet, Customer meet, Group song competition, Quiz program, and slogan writing competition was held throughout the year.  The Bank felicitated former office bearers, Directors, CEO’s on this occasion. A centenary memento of 50gms Silver Coin was given to all our members
