Along with the growth, COCB is committed to its social commitment. The idea of co-operative movement “All for One and One for All” has always been dear to COCB. The commitment taken during our 90th Anniversary was the beginning of its journey towards Social Banking. In the year 2010 COCB promoted a Trust named “Chaitanya Sinchana” to undertake the social activities. Desks, Plates, Tumblers, Note Books and other writing materials, sports equipment, computers, Dish Antenna and Set Top Boxes are donated to Government Schools in remote villages over a period of several years. Today COCB has been helping over 3500 children from 42 villages. At the beginning of the academic year 2017-18, we could distribute over 25000 Notebooks, over 1000 Geometry sets, pens, pencils, erasers. The orientation for SSLC students, counseling sessions for girl children, motivational program have seen improvement in the quality of performance by the students. The Bank continued with this social commitment and in the coming years distributed notebooks and other writing materials to these village schools. A few more village schools got added to the growing list. This activity was well appreciated by our members, and donation started pouring in from our members and well-wishers. Along with this, there were more requests from some more village schools.
